The Sansa Shaker is available in pink and blue with storage capacities of 512MB and 1GB. We have put the blue 512MB model, good for some 125 MP3 songs to the test. The package is very attractive for children. Apart from the SanDisk Shaker of course, it contains a Sansa headset, a 512MB Secure Digital memory card, a CD with the manual, a USB cable, an AAA battery, a quick guide in English and stickers to personalize the Sansa Shaker and to make it look even more beautiful to one's own taste. The dimensions of this compact cylindrical SanDisk Sansa MP3 player are 72x40x40mm which makes it fit perfectly in a child's hand.
SanDisk Sansa Shaker - Shake function
According to LetsGoMobile: “The SanDisk MP3 player owes its name to the 'shake' function that lets you swap between songs. The 'shake' function can be used by pressing down the play/pause button and then shaking the device. When you are 'shaking' you will hear a funny sound confirming 'shaking' was carried out well and the next song will start playing. The 'shake' function works fine and because it only works together with pressing the play/pause button unwillingly playing an other song will not occur. The 'shake' function is not really adding to the functionality because the bottom white band also lets you select a previous or next song by turning the band to the left or the right. But of course it is a nice additional option for children; the target group this SanDisk MP3 player is aiming at.”

LetsGoMobile continues: “The CD that comes with the SanDisk Sansa Shaker contains a quick guide in PDF format. While listening to music the Shaker can be placed on a surface and it stands very steady and stable because of its bottom with grip. Opening the bottom, for example to change the battery or to connect the USB cable, you will encounter some problems. The bottom is not easy to open because the white band right above it keeps turning with it. Surely this is extra safe for young children so they are not able to get to the battery and put it in their mouth. The cover is attached to the Sansa Shaker with a piece of string that prevents you from losing it, very convenient. The delivered headset produces a very pure sound and stays well inside your ears. The 'shake' function has no surplus functionality but it does have a surplus value in the eyes of children. It is an extremely nice MP3 player for children with its funny sounds and its 'shake' function. The price lies around $29.99 (40 Euros).
