Epson has asserted its position as a leader in the professional imaging industry by winning three of the most important photo and imaging technology accolades at the Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) Awards 2011. Epson products recognised by TIPA were the Epson Stylus Photo R3000, named as the ‘Best Expert Photo Printer’, the Epson Stylus Pro 4900, which won ‘Best Large Format Printer’, and the Epson Perfection V330 Photo, which was judged ‘Best Photo Scanner’.
APEAL award
Driving pleasure, premium quality and reliability guarantee the latest models from the BMW and MINI brands the highest acclaim in international automobile markets. That has been confirmed yet again in a recent study conducted by international market research firm J.D. Power. In its latest customer survey assessing satisfaction levels among North American new car buyers, the BMW 5 Series range, BMW X3, BMW Z4 and MINI Countryman emerged as winners of their respective vehicle segments. In addition, four more models from the BMW Group finished in the top three of their category. This tally means the BMW Group boasts the highest number of segment winners of all manufacturers in the latest APEAL survey.

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd., the world’s largest provider of thin-film-transistor, liquid crystal displays (TFT-LCD), will unveil a diverse array of leading-edge LCD panels for monitors, TVs and digital information displays at FPD International 2007, in Yokohama, Japan, October 24-26. At what is one of the world’s largest trade shows dedicated to flat panel displays, Samsung will introduce a 40-inch (101.6cm) diagonal Full HD LCD TV panel only 10.0 millimeters thick. This new display, expected to usher in the next wave of large-screen TVs, has the same profile as 10-20 inch LCDs designed for desktop monitors. Its bezel has been reduced from a conventional 30mm to 14.6mm.
