Google Inc. announced the introduction of Google Gadget Ads, a new interactive ad format that is currently in an expanded beta with a select group of AdWords advertisers worldwide. Gadget ads - non-traditional ad units with interactive, rich media capabilities - not only enable advertisers to target audiences in a flexible and timely manner via regular updates within the ad unit, but also allow users to engage with ad content in a way static ads haven’t facilitated in the past.

Girls are leading the digital revolution this Christmas - research from Samsung Cameras reveals more women are buying gadgets this Christmas than men. The research, commissioned to look into the use and purchase of Christmas gadgets, revealed women are increasingly addicted to technology - and now own more gadgets than men. Hannah Perry, News Editor of Heat magazine commented on the research; “Gadgets are no longer the preserve of the tech hungry male - we see women embracing technology all of the time without fear of them compromising on style or beauty. Cameras look so stylish now and the latest range from Samsung which are available in various colours make them ideal fashion accessories for today’s fashion conscious women.”

With the holiday season now upon us, it’s prime-time for technology buying and gift-giving.
