Panasonic, the market and technology leader in Plasma HDTVs, announced at the opening of the 2007 CEDIA convention, that it has expanded its already industry leading line up of 1080p High Definition Plasma TVs, to include two new, more affordable models- the TH-42PZ77 and the TH-50PZ77. Scheduled to ship this month, the new 42-inch and 50-inch class Plasmas have SRPs of $1799.95 and $2799.95 respectively.

Halo 3 Xbox 360 game

In a year when Hollywood is launching its biggest blockbusters ever, a video game is set to conquer them all. “Halo 3,” the final chapter in the groundbreaking “Halo” trilogy, is set to shatter day-one entertainment sales records when it is released worldwide beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25. Created by legendary developer Bungie Studios and exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, “Halo 3” will set a new standard for interactive storytelling and social gaming by engaging consumers worldwide in Master Chief’s epic battle to save humankind. “Halo 3” will be available to audiences around the world starting Sept. 25 and will release in Europe on Sept. 26.

Zune portable media players

Chairman Bill Gates and Corporate Vice President J Allard yesterday unveiled the next generation of Zune portable media players. The two new models of Zune portable media players feature the new Zune Pad, an innovative touch-sensitive button for navigating on the device, as well as wireless sync, a feature that allows Zune devices to automatically sync over the device owner’s home wireless network when it is connected to an AC adaptor, in a dock or speaker dock accessory.

Burger King mobile games

Burger King Corp. announced a licensing arrangement with Seattle-based, mobile content provider Mobliss Inc., a division of the Index Group, to create downloadable cell phone games featuring Burger King branded content, including the King. The initial game currently in development will feature players vying for the role of the King’s protégé by facing challenges and progressing in the virtual world of a Burger King-themed city. As various tasks are completed successfully, points are earned, advanced levels are unlocked and gamers face more difficult challenges. The result is a unique gaming experience enhanced by the peer-to-peer interaction of the community.
